Nova Ilusão - First Single from Duets by Ron Carter & Yotam Silberstein

We are thrilled to announce the release of “Nova Ilusão”, the first single from Duets, the upcoming album by Ron Carter and Yotam Silberstein, out June 5, 2026 on JOJO RECORDS.

Originally written by the legendary Brazilian composer Paulinho Da Viola, Nova Ilusão is the opening track of the album and a testament to the deep love for Brazilian music shared by both artists. Bass and guitar intertwine so naturally, they seem to speak as one single instrument — a truly unique synchronicity between two of jazz's most singular voices.

Duets was recorded at the iconic Van Gelder Studio in Englewood Cliffs, NJ, and features liner notes by T.J. English. The full album announcement is coming soon.
